Lieutenant General Ulrich Wolf (German Army) passed command of NATO Communication and Information System Services Agency (NCSA) to Lieutenant General Kurt Herrmann (German Air Force) on 24 April, at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Belgium. The handover took place at the Alliance Auditorium and was officiated by the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR), General Sir John McColl. Lieutenant General Wolf commanded NCSA since August 2004.

On 22 April, NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen was the scene for a combined change of commands for both the NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Force and the E-3A Component with Gen. Sir John McColl, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander, presiding over the ceremony.

MONS, BELGIUM - NATO will conduct exercises Cooperative Longbow 09 – Cooperative Lancer 09 during the period 6 May to 1 June 2009 in Georgia. Planning for these exercises began in spring 2008 with the aim of improving interoperability between NATO and partner countries, within the framework of Partnership for Peace, Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative programmes.

MONS, Belgium — the nations of Albania and Croatia were officially welcomed as full members of NATO during an accession ceremony held on 7 April, in front of Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).
