French Chief of Defence visits SHAPE

Admiral James Stavridis, SACEUR, today welcomed Admiral Edouard Guillaud, FRA N, Chief of the French Defence Staff (FRA CHOD) to SHAPE. After the welcome ceremony, Adm Guillaud attended an office call with the SACEUR.

A medal ceremony in honour of SACEUR and Adm Guillaud followed the office call. Finally, Adm Guillaud attended a roundtable discussion chaired by Adm Stavridis. The session included briefs on ISAF and Libya by Major General Michel Stollsteiner, FRA A, Deputy Chief of Staff Capability Plans and Policy and Brigadier General Marcus Van Uhm, NLD A, Director Strategic Operations Center (SOC).

After his official briefings, Adm Guillaud was escorted to the SACEUR's residence for informal discussions.

SACEUR, James Stavridis, is made "Commandeur de la Légion d'Honneur" by Edouard Guillaud, French ChoD, during a Medal Ceremony. It was part of the official French ChoD visit to SHAPE.
