More than 4,000 Afghan National Security Forces graduate

Kabul, Afghanistan  — Today 4,123 Afghan National Security Forces graduated from various Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police training courses. This is a significant contribution to the continuous growth of the ANSF forces to the 243,000 goal. The 134,000 trained ANA soldiers goal will be met early next month. This benchmark will be exceeded two months ahead of schedule.

The ANSF graduated 2,698 ANA soldiers and 1,425 ANP policemen respectively. The largest class contributing to those numbers was the graduation of Kandak 135 with 1,380 soldiers. Other courses included the ANA Basic Officer Training Course, the ANA Noncommissioned Officer Basic Course, the ANP Uniformed Police Patrolman course, the ANP Noncommissioned Officer Course and the ANP Boarder Patrolman course.
