NATO Medals

Personnel may be eligible to receive a variety of medals for their participation in NATO operations or missions. The criteria, area of operations and qualifying service requirements differs from mission to mission.

 

 

Additionally the North Atlantic Council has approved a Non-Article 5 NATO medal for personnel participating in the NATO Training Implementation Mission-Iraq (NTIM-I) or NATO Training Mission-Iraq and Operation Unified Protector-Libya (OUP). However both missions/operations have already been terminated:

 

- NTIM-I or NTM-I effective from 18 Aug 2004 until 31 Dec 2011.

 

- OUP-Libya effective from 23 Mar 2011 until 31 Oct 2011.
