Centralized contracts
SHAPE Centralized Acquisition Initiatives
One of the main objectives of the SHAPE Acquisition Community is to maximize the use of centralized acquisitions.
Centralized acquisitions for "like” commodities or services needed by multiple NATO entities allow to achieve lower pricing via economies of scale, standardization and best use of monetary and human resources. Running Centralized acquisition Initiatives is an opportunity to maximize commercial leverage with limited additional effort in contract management.
The current SHAPE centralized contracts are for the provision of ADP consumable items, "Blue fleet” vehicles, Electronic warfare training, Office supplies, Military Analysts Services, CBRN Protective equipment for NATO civilians, Strategic Airlift and Multi-modal transportation services, NATO medals and ACO/NATO HQ Official Travel Services.
